What I Imagine…

In my last post, I asked readers what they imagined when looking at my new color palette of fabrics? So today, I will tell you what I imagine looking at those colors~~

~~~~Sea Images!~~~~
… the swirly, watery patterns in tropical, sunny bright hues of yellow, orange, greens, and blues, plus many more!!  🙂
And, I imagine my next piece in this series to be–Fractured Fish #2!
In 2014 I had a solo exhibit, Lifeweavings-A Creative Journey, during our town’s ArtWalk. It included many of my past works of art, along with new ones, that illustrated many of my inspirations gathered over time in life.
This small piece, which I almost decided not to even show, ended up being one of my most popular designs! Immediately more than one person wanted the original and another bought a print of this piece, Fractured Fish #1.
A painter mixes many different paints to create a color palette to use on a new painting, while as a textile artist I also gather a new palette of colors…fabric paints…to create my next art quilt!
It would be fun to hear what You (and other Readers!) can imagine this color palette being used for? Please let us know in Comments below!
[And, in the next post I will tell you what I imagine…and how I plan to use these wonderfully colored fabrics.  🙂 ]
In the Studio~Summer News*
In the studio, this summer has been a busy time! I have been gathering new inspirations and beginning new works of contemporary textile art!
We are also getting ready for a workshop in August at Eucalyptus Massage & Healing Arts.  They so graciously hosted my first solo art exhibit, Lifeweavings: A Creative Journey, in February, and I look forward to meeting with them again to explore, encourage, and share with others who are taking their own creative journeys!
Lifeweavings: A Creative Journey
A Creativity Work-Playshop!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

What do we gather during our lives that influences, inspires, and contributes to our artistic abilities, interests, skills…and our designs & creations!?

We will explore the life stages and use creativity to experiment with the design process, using our own  artistic/creative medium of expression (painters, jewelry-makers, writers, etc.)! You will be encouraged to take steps–even small ones, or micro-movements!–towards your own unique goals as a creative person…

Interactive activities, mind-mapping, and discussions will be used as a guide for considering what creativity is, generating new ideas, and sharing your inspirations with other artists/creative people!

Our overall goal will be to have fun, enjoy sharing ideas, and being inspired!!
