Since my last post, we actually just had another snowfall~~this time with 10 1/2″ of the fluffy white stuff! So………I was forced to slow down once again and just embrace it……..no power for a few days………no machines or computers to do studio work……….no television or radio (well, a bit of music from my smartphone!)……….but it was a gift of time to focus and catch up on other things.
So a couple of new inspirations from nature…
and what I call “nature’s art“.
So, even though it doesn’t look or act like Spring around here yet, last Monday was the studio’s“Celebrate Spring Giveaway”.The Art Lover & e-newsletter Subscriber who received an Open Edition, Signed and Matted Art Print of the latest art quilt from the Studio, Fractured Fish #2, was…Drum roll please……………..Diane! Once again the weather is the inspiration for a post…This year the weather has just been so dramatic around here!
The days became unusually warm a week or so ago, with signs of Spring barely beginning to appear…Change was in the air!
There was a struggle between Winter and Spring…
And this week Winter won!
But, we are still looking forward to welcoming Spring very soon, along with new happenings and events! My art quilt, “Flamenco Swirl #2” was accepted into the PAQA-South’s juried, art exhibit.
