This “Sea Images” series began with Fractured Fish #1...an experiment in abstracting the shape of a fish into parts that suggest visually the underwater creature! With the second art quilt, another Fractured Fish was created using cool, bright purple on a muted warm-colored background, along with more detailed free-motion quilting and hand-beaded bubbles floating to the surface…More works are to come in this series, as I experiment and play with color, impressions drawn from experiences at Aquariums and at the ocean, my imagination, and techniques!
