Creativity “IDEAS”

This past month a special group of Art Lovers, Art Collectors and Creatives in Life received the first Studio NewsNotes by email! In it they got a 1st Glimpse of my latest art project, learned about what was new this month in the studio (I will be sharing that here very soon! 🙂 ), and received a Creativity IDEA to try. I want to regularly give IDEAS, to those who receive the Studio NewsNotes, ~ a Something to try for adding more Creativity to their daily lives!

The Creativity IDEA from the July Studio NewsNotes was:

* Sit in a different spot in a room!…in a classroom, office conference meeting, or living room watching TV. What do you notice? Anything new?… A different perspective?

If you would also like to be updated by email, and join a very special group of people receiving the studio’s NewsNotes, please Sign-up Here...or see the sidebar!

As a Thank-You, you will receive FREE, “10 Somethings To Try”, Adding More Creativity to Life.” It is a list of 10  Creativity IDEAS to get you started trying new and different things, gathering and generating many ideas, and experiencing and viewing life from different angles!

What is a Something you do to encourage Creativity in your life, work, or creative projects? 🙂

A Time to Just “Be” ~ Idea Gathering.

I find summer is a wonderful time to just Be, reminiscent of the long, hot summer days of my childhood. With slower days comes less expectations of how much I have to accomplish! But even though the pace slows, it doesn’t mean nothing is actually happening…

Sky Clouds

I have time to explore simple daily things, to swing in a hammock and watch the white clouds float by, to work in the dirt in the garden’s flower bed, listen to the birds’ songs and watch the flowers grow, and to think and dream about ideas. It is a time in the creative process called Idea Gathering.

Inspirations, impressions, and ideas are all around us everyday!

Sometimes you even find art in the most ordinary of places…

Garden Tools

This kind of idea gathering informs my life…and my art.  It helps me in life to more creatively problem-solve, renew my body and spirit, and encourage new ways of seeing things! As an artist, this is a process where I explore, experience, and renew my motivation to design and create new visual expressions…

There are new things happening in the studio that I will continue to share in the slow summer days ahead! 🙂 For a First Glimpse at my new art in process, more Creativity Ideas to try, and studio Happenings, I invite you to Sign-Up Here for the Studio NewsNotes and join other Art Lovers, Art Collectors, and Creatives in Life!

Celebration of New Life

Ah, SpriNg! It is imPossible for me to Not be exciTed by the First viBrant coLors of SpRing!

And for arTists and cReaTives, it hardly ever gets any bEtter than This!!

Here in the Southwest Virginia mountains it comes a bit later than some other places in the South, so I impatiently watch for the first signs of life after a long, cold winter…

Early Spring Color!

The early daffodils herald the awaKening, which happens as the sun gradually warms the earth…It gives Hope and enCouragement that the gray, coldness of Winter will soon vaNish.

Joyful Daffodils!

A large maple tree in our yard still shows No sign of new life…even though tiny lacy green new leaves are peaking out on most of the others. But, this tree is still sleeping and dormant….reminding me to be paTient and Wait….until the Timing is right and it is Ready!  (Hard for me to do. How about you?)

The newness of Spring’s colors against a grayer background reminds me to think in more Positive, liFe Affirming ways.

Vibrant Visuals!

For example, in April is the deadline for filing yearly taxes in the US. Perhaps it would be better to think of this type of thing as an Aliveline instead! Because deadlines can actually be moTivators, proMote our Action, and urge us to Take stePs in a forWard moTion, after our Winter time of soLitude and Dormancy!  🙂

Hope! & Renewal….

A Pot of Joyfulness!

And upon closer inspection…..

More Wonderfulness!!!!

Wonderfulness!

A Celebration of Living!
