Change Is Not Always a Smooth Transition!

Once again the weather is the inspiration for a post…This year the weather has just been so dramatic around here!

The days became unusually warm a week or so ago, with signs of Spring barely beginning to appear…Change was in the air!

Autumn Transitions

The chilly air, the change in the colors of the sunlight, as well as all the trees’ leaves, signals that summer has ended and autumn has arrived in the mountainsides that surrounds us here.

I Love the Color of Flowers!

Summertime had its own pace, with plans all its own….I’m just now getting caught-up, organized and back to a regular routine. But, it gave me time to gather new ideas & experiences..for inspiration and renewal!

My art quilt,  A Different Perspective, was exhibited in June at the Sacred Threads 2015 Exhibit in Herndon, VA (outside of Washington D.C.)   This exhibit focuses on art quilts of artists “who see their work as a connection to the sacred and/or as an expression of their spiritual journey”.

The art quilts had themes of joy, spirituality, peace/brotherhood, inspiration, grief, or healing. My piece was part of the category of Inspiration.

It was exciting to have this work accepted and shown in this venue.  Enjoy!  🙂
