A Time to Just “Be” ~ Idea Gathering.

I find summer is a wonderful time to just Be, reminiscent of the long, hot summer days of my childhood. With slower days comes less expectations of how much I have to accomplish! But even though the pace slows, it doesn’t mean nothing is actually happening…

I have time to explore simple daily things, to swing in a hammock and watch the white clouds float by, to work in the dirt in the garden’s flower bed, listen to the birds’ songs and watch the flowers grow, and to think and dream about ideas. It is a time in the creative process called Idea Gathering.

Inspirations, impressions, and ideas are all around us everyday!

Sometimes you even find art in the most ordinary of places…

This kind of idea gathering informs my life…and my art.  It helps me in life to more creatively problem-solve, renew my body and spirit, and encourage new ways of seeing things! As an artist, this is a process where I explore, experience, and renew my motivation to design and create new visual expressions…
