Celebration of New Life

Ah, SpriNg! It is imPossible for me to Not be exciTed by the First viBrant coLors of SpRing!

And for arTists and cReaTives, it hardly ever gets any bEtter than This!!

Here in the Southwest Virginia mountains it comes a bit later than some other places in the South, so I impatiently watch for the first signs of life after a long, cold winter…

The early daffodils herald the awaKening, which happens as the sun gradually warms the earth…It gives Hope and enCouragement that the gray, coldness of Winter will soon vaNish.

A large maple tree in our yard still shows No sign of new life…even though tiny lacy green new leaves are peaking out on most of the others. But, this tree is still sleeping and dormant….reminding me to be paTient and Wait….until the Timing is right and it is Ready! (Hard for me to do. How about you?)

The newness of Spring’s colors against a grayer background reminds me to think in more Positive, liFe Affirming ways.

For example, in April is the deadline for filing yearly taxes in the US. Perhaps it would be better to think of this type of thing as an Aliveline instead! Because deadlines can actually be moTivators, proMote our Action, and urge us to Take stePs in a forWard moTion, after our Winter time of soLitude and Dormancy! 🙂
