In the Studio~Friday’s Firsts!

Last Friday was the Studio’s first “Printing Day”, so off to a good start!

1st Studio Printing Day!

It’s neat to be able to create these archival pigment prints, individually printed on wonderful papers, such as Canon’s Pro Luster. It is fun to explore using different kinds of art papers and printing to achieve various effects.

Prints to Mat & Package.

As prints were being created on Friday, we also had another First !!~~The 1st Snow of the Winter! Always beautiful to see through the window as it falls…

**1st Snowfall***

As the Winter’s chill sets in~~steaming, whipped cream-topped hot chocolate….cozy, comfy knit sweaters…..warm, crackling fireplaces….

🙂  Stay Warm!

In the Studio~Being Flexible

The past few weeks I had to be out of the studio and am now catching up on things around here! Life just requires us to be flexible sometimes and revise our plans as we go…I find it challenging to adjust, or put on hold, work and business tasks, but have learned to expect that this is a normal occurrence.

Some of my collected autumn leaves….Have you been collecting on your walks?

Studio News!!: I am creating an on-line shop, which will be open very soon! I hope you will visit and view the new archival Art Prints of select art quilt originals that will be available. Included, from the Sea Images series, will be prints of Fractured Fish #1 and Fractured Fish #2. The latest studio original art quilt, Fractured Fish #2, will also be available!

The first Studio Printing Day will also be announced soon! Prints that are ordered will be individually printed in the studio by me, the artist. They will be signed and matted, ready-to-frame. I look forward to creating these reproduction prints, using high quality pigment inks and archival quality papers and materials! These will be perfect for Art Lovers, Art Collectors, and Creatives of Life, looking for unique prints for their own collections or for gifts to others!

Well, time for me to get back to work!…. 🙂

Creativity IDEA~Autumn’s “Walk on the Beach”

I dream of walking along the beach, collecting as many different shells that catch my eye! So many in various shapes, sizes, and colors! It’s hard to limit how many I pick-up…Where did they come from? Were they ever in another country, washing in from another part of the world? Is the blue beach glass from a broken bottle thrown from a ship in Iceland?…..

It’s Autumn around here and the trees with so many different shapes of leaves, are ablaze with many wonderful colors! As I take a walk at this time of year, I find myself picking-up and collecting fall leaves in a similar manner to collecting seashells…How many different shapes/types of leaves can I find? How many sizes? And of course, the colors vary from deep reds to bright yellows! On my porch table, I lay out my daily “finds” beside last years shells from beach!
