In the Studio…

A couple of years ago I began “playing around” with the shape of a typical Christmas ornament…experimenting to just see how I might incorporate it into a design. ?  After settling on a shape, I used it in unique ways in designing a series of art quilts…each one very different, but all using the ornament shape.

The results (so far) include 3 small art quilts, which all have a Winter holidays theme~~

Winter Wren~

Some of you have seen these photos on Instagram & Facebook. And, when I asked whether I should use Red thread or Blue, the Overwhelming answer was Blue!!

So…..Blue it will be! 🙂

In the Studio this week, I am completing this art quilt and then plan to photograph it. The 3 Art Quilts in this series, Winter Holidays, will also be offered as a set of Art Cards in time for your Holiday Season! So stay tuned… 🙂
