Fractured Fish #2

Fractured Fish #2 (2017) is part of the series, Sea Images. Materials are rayon and metallic on cotton and is 10 3/4″ x 12 1/2″. This is the second vibrantly colored, abstract image of a fish swimming in the ocean depths! It glides through the wonderfully colored, ocean waters with iridescent bubbles floating to the surface!

The colors and design of Fractured Fish #1 were enjoyed by many people! So, in the second Fractured Fish, I used a vivid purple on a warm-colored background. More layering, texture, and shimmer was added by free-motion quilting and thread-painting with shimmering rayon threads and hand-beading with iridescent beads and metallic thread.
