The Story~A line drawing captures the memory of a Spanish flamenco dancer’s colorful, dramatic, swirling movement. The memory of a magical evening of soulful singing, expressive guitar music, and the pounding rhythm of the dancer’s feet…
Artist’s Process~ I layered and pieced colorful fabrics for a background and the stage. Motion, texture, and depth was added to the piece with applique and free-motion stitching. A flirty ruffle lines the bottom of the dress.
